Cleveland Meet + Darkly Cute's Birthday Party Plans

Friendship Never Ends by Amenoo
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History has a special exhibit on Dragons, Unicorns & Mermaids. Admission is a mere ten dollars. We will be there starting at noon. It's a big place, so we will likely be spending a few hours there. Afterward, we can wander out to Wade Park right outside. In the event of torrential downpour (after all, it is springtime in Ohio) we can seek refuge across the park in the Cleveland Museum of Art. At 5:00 when the museums close, we'll head about a half mile east to Rascal House for dinner, and see what other damage we can do around town. For those who don't want to drop the $10 for the museum, you're certainly welcome to say hi anyway, hang out at the park, and come eat dinner with us.

After dinner, we'll head to a hotel, hook up the pony projector, and stay up much later than reasonable. You're welcome, neigh, encouraged to stay even if you're from the local area: we tend to do plenty more besides sleeping. Since this meetup also serves as a birthday party for Darkly Cute, there will be cake. We also will dedicate a bit of time to announcements and discussion for some interesting events we have planned for the future.

On Sunday, we'll head out to the Parmatown Mall, stopping at Toys"R"Us, Target, Walmart, and McDonalds (for the ponies, not the food!), and then go somewhere to eat lunch. Time and weather permitting, we might go chill at a park for the afternoon.

In the interest of helping prevent people from getting completely lost like at the last meet, we will be passing around maps and directions highlighting the various interesting places around the city that we might visit.

  1. Awesome. I love the Natural History Museum. I hope I'll get to attend this one. If I do, it'll be my first meetup.

    1. I love Rascal House's White Pizza. And also its close to the other things we are doing on Saturday. So we didnt want to have people getting lost driving all over Cleveland.

  3. That sounds awesome. However, i'd only be able to join the group for Saturday until the end of dinner; i'm only 16, with no drivers license, and can't get home without my parents driving me, which they couldn't do on Sunday. Plus, I currently can't afford to ship in a hotel room. It's still okay if I join up on Saturday, yes?

    1. Certainly! You can come and go as you please.

Even if you can't do the hotel, there is likely to be someone at the meet willing to get you from point A to point B, so long as your parents are okay with that.

    2. They say their okay with someone driving me from the museums to Rascal; they just need the address of the one we're going to so they can pick me up and take me home from there.

    3. 11316 Euclid Avenue. It's the one almost right next to the museum - we might even walk.

  7. I'm not one hundred percent sure if there is a McDonald's near Parmatown Mall, but I do know that the one that was in the food court did close down. There probably is one in close proximity though.

  8. Darn! I'll be in Columbus. There needs to be a meetup in Columbus or Charleston.

  9. Actually, we just had a meet in Columbus, played Capture the Flag, had some pizza with ponies drawn on the box, and hung out for a few hours.

If you've got the time off this weekend, you might be able to get a ride to Cleveland and back from someone else who's going. We often get people coming from all sorts of non-local places, and we'll even have a cake for this one.

(Charleston, near Springfield? There's a whole ton of bronies around here.)
